Ross Tiffin

Following a career in human pharma and with Colgate Palmolive, Ross first discovered an interest in the veterinary area, by launching the Hill’s Pet Nutrition business in the UK and, over a ten year period, he became commercial director - Northern Europe. He has also been a director of a leading healthcare advertising agency where his interest in consumer behaviour first started.

More recently, Ross has worked as a director of a leading corporate provider of veterinary services, and has worked with a number of pharmaceutical, pet food and financial services providers.

He runs his own company, Tartan Business Solutions, with his wife Karen and has a unique overview of the challenges facing the veterinary profession. He is on the editorial board of Veterinary Times with responsibility for business coverage and writes a monthly column for three journals.  He is editor of SPVS Review and speaks and writes widely, in the UK and in Europe, on veterinary business matters with a particular interest in the changing interface between veterinary practices and the consumers who choose them.  The new publication ‘What’s the soup of the day?’, is an accessible guide by Ross Tiffin to understanding consumer behaviour in veterinary practice.

He is a director/trustee of both the RCVS Trust and for Dogs for the Disabled
